Title: Deer Overabundance: Unintended Ecological Consequences

Speaker: Charles Rhodehamel, Vice President of Open Space Management, Columbia Association, and member of the Maryland Botanical Heritage Work Group.

Description: The negative impact of Maryland's large deer herd on our native ecosystems is well-known to many MNPS members. Chick Rhodehamel will present a historical perspective on how this came to pass, and discuss possible solutions.

Location: Kensington Library.

Directions: From the Washington Beltway (I-495)

Take Exit 33, Connecticut Avenue, north to the third signal after the Beltway. Turn left onto Knowles and go 2 1/2 blocks to the library on the right.

The meeting is open to the public.
