A Year in Rock Creek Park: the Wild, Wooded Heart of Washington, DC

Melanie Choukas-Bradley and Susan Austin Roth

The speakers will discuss their forthcoming book about this popular Washington DC park, and share Susan's photographs of the park through the seasons. Woody and herbaceous plants of Rock Creek Park will be highlighted.

Among the books written by Melanie Choukas-Bradley is 'City of Trees, The Complete Guide to the Trees of Washington, DC.' Susan Austin Roth is a photographer and author specializing in landscapes and nature.

Before the program, there will be a very short Annual Meeting at which the results of the election for the 2015 Board of Directors will be announced.

Location: Kensington Library - Large Meeting Room

Directions: 4201 Knowles Avenue, Kensington, MD

From the Washington Beltway (I-495)

Take Exit 33, Connecticut Avenue, north to the third signal after the Beltway. Turn left onto Knowles and go 2 1/2 blocks to the library on the right.

The meeting is open to the public.

Registration is not required.

Meetings take place on the last Tuesday of each month.
