Co-sponsored by Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary and MNPS.

Explore the diverse tidal wetlands of Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary in southern Anne Arundel County. July is hot when the marsh is in full bloom: we'll find swamp rose, cattail, wild rice, arrowhead, pickerelweed, and more! Summer is when the vines are most prevalent within the wetlands--perfect for the Year of the Vines!

We'll also have the chance to identify the plants of the upland forests.

No need for boots--we'll be along a boardwalk which travel through low marsh, high marsh and swamp.

There is a $6 per vehicle entrance fee into the Sanctuary

Leader: Karyn Molines

Online registration is recommended.

Bring: Water, field guides, hand lens, binoculars, hat, sunscreen. Bring a lunch for after the trip.

Fees: Entrance fee into the park. $6/vehicle
