Native Plant Production Utilizing Seeds of Local Ecotype

Join horticulturist Leslie Hunter Cario as she shares her experience with growing native plants from seed of local ecotypes. Seeding technique and plant growth requirements will be discussed, along with the basics of seed collection and post-harvest handling.  A variety of native seeds will be available as examples.

Location: Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Pl, Silver Spring, MD 20910. (GPS device address: 8525 Fenton Street, Silver Spring) It's at the intersection of Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street.

Parking in the garage across street from the civic center, on Ellsworth, is free if you enter after 7:00 p.m.

The meeting is open to non-members.
