A couple just cancelled, so two openings remain for this class...if you ever wanted to learn to ID wildflowers here’s your chance!!!

Title:Wildflower ID for Beginners

When: July 7 and July 14 from 9:00 to noon each day

Instructor: Liz McDowell, Western Mountains Chapter of MNPS

Interested in knowing the names of the wonderful wildflowers you encounter in forest and field? Then take this class where you’ll learn to actually “key-out” local plants using the popular Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide. This hands-on, two-session class is being offered on consecutive Fridays. The week long gap between classes allows participants to practice their skills at home, and return with questions on plants that may have been difficult to identify. The class is limited to five persons and is recommended for teens and adults. The total cost is $50 and pre-registration is required. All proceeds benefit the Maryland Native Plant Society.

Registration is required but is not available through this website. For more details or to register, please contact Liz directly by phone at 301-895-3686 or email at lmcdnativeplants@hughes.net
