This park is one of Montgomery County's Best Natural Areas and includes mature upland forest, floodplain forest, diverse wildlife, and grand views of the Potomac River and C&O Canal.  We hope to see early butterflies, including zebra swallowtails, and plenty of spring blooms.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 15.

Notes: Moderate hike with somewhat steep slopes.  There are no bathrooms at this location.

Bring: Water, snacks, sturdy walking shoes or boots.  Optional: binoculars, hand lens, camera, field guide.

Cancellation Policy: Trip will go in light drizzle; canceled if heavy rain.
