Botanizing in the fall can be quite challenging. Naturalist, Dwight Johnson, will review confusing composites (asters and goldenrods), native legumes, and late-blooming mint family members. Habitat requirements, distribution, and plant rarity will also be discussed. Bring a hand lens.
Get there at 6 for a tour of fall-bloomers on Irvine's grounds. The presentation/workshop starts at 7.
