Native Plant Fest and Sale: MAEScapes and Penn State Master Gardeners

  • 05/19/2012
  • York, PA

Sponsoring Organizations: Penn State Master Gardeners and MAEscapes (MidAtlantic Ecological Landscaping)

This year the selection is better than ever with the opportunity to buy direct from native plant growers from around the region offering a large selection of native plants, trees and shrubs suited for our area, including many hard-to-find plants, at reasonable prices.

Master Gardeners and MAEscapes experts will be on hand to answer your questions and help with plant selection.

During the Fest you can also tour the MAEscapes gardens, visit educational displays and shop for books, tools, stepping stones and garden gifts. The Fest will be held rain or shine. Come early for the best selection. Proceeds benefit MAEscapes gardens and education programs.

The Plant sale begins at 9:00 am; the seminars and tours begin at 8:00 am.

About MAEScapes -MAEscapes (Mid-Atlantic Ecological Landscapes) was formed by Penn State Cooperative Extension and York County Conservation District to demonstrate ecological landscaping. The habitats created at the MAEscapes demonstration gardens encourage diversity of native wildlife and have the additional benefits of lower cost and less maintenance.

Location: York County Annex/Penn State Extension, 112 Pleasant Acres Rd, York, PA 17402.
