Title:  Ten Mile Creek Watershed in Black Hill Regional Park

Leader: Ken Bawer

Come see why the Ten Mile Creek Watershed is worth protecting from over-development. The Montgomery County Council will be voting soon on whether or not to allow a mega-development which would pollute Ten Mile Creek and the Little Seneca Reservoir, an emergency water source for 4.3 million DC area residents. Most of the trails are very wide (about 9 feet) -- great for group botanizing.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 20.

Directions: Sent upon registering.

Bring: Dress for the weather and wear good hiking shoes.  Optional: water, snacks, field guides, binoculars (water fowl on lake), note pad, camera

Cancellation Policy: If there is heavy rain or snow predicted, the walk will be canceled. Contact Ken Bawer at 240-744-6306 if you have a question or are uncertain regarding weather.

Notes: This is moderate hiking with some up and down hill sections.
