Native Plant Sale at Robert E Lee Park

Sponsored by Robert E Lee Park Nature Council and Guilford Garden Club

Saturday May 3, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

Professional gardeners will be on hand to help participants learn about the importance of landscaping with plants native to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Native plants are easier to maintain, and specific selections influence the lives of butterflies, birds and other wildlife. A variety of deer resistant plants will also be available for sale. Participants are encouraged to bring photos or sketches of their gardens to receive expert planting advice.

The sale takes place near the Lake Roland Dam; enter from the Lakeside Drive entrance to the Park or from the Falls Road light rail parking lot (take the boardwalk entrance into the park). While you’re there, be sure to check out the progress of Acorn Hill, the new children’s natural play area in the park.

All sales are by cash or check only.

The sale is held in conjunction with the Guilford Garden Club; proceeds from the sale will go towards improvements at the park and the Guilford Garden Club scholarship fund.
