Rod Simmons

Rod Simmons, a plant ecologist, is on the MNPS Board of Directors and conducts botanical surveys throughout Maryland. He recently co-authored an article describing the Pine Barrens Woodland vegetation community within the upper Anacostia watershed for NatureServe.

Bill Sipple

Bill Sipple has explored Chesapeake Country since he was a young boy. Retired from the Environmental Protection Agency, Bill teaches courses on wetland soils and plant identification.

Chris Swarth

Chris Swarth is the director of the Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. He grew up in northern California where he went to college, but has called Silver Spring home since 1987.
