Our mission is to promote awareness, appreciation, and conservation
of Maryland's native plants and their habitats. We pursue our mission
through education, research, advocacy, and service activities.

Welcome
to the
Year of the Oak

Join our adventure in understanding the diversity of Oaks. Throughout 2012 field trips, workshops, and lectures will focus on oak identification, what role oaks play in the Mid-Atlantic ecosystem, and how valuable they are for humans and wildlife.

Visit the Year of the Oak page for more information about oak events and resources.

Wildflowers in Focus

A collection of beautiful illustrations of native plants and essays of the life in their native habitat and other things of interest. In 2011, the essays will feature native ferns, as part of the "Year of the Fern" celebration.
