Jean & Elmer Worthley Honor Garden at the Howard County Conservancy

The Maryland Native Plant Society made a donation for a warm season grassland in the Howard County Conservancy's Honor Garden in celebration of the work of Jean and Elmer Worthley. The grassland was seeded earlier this year and dedicated to the Worthleys this fall at the Conservancy's Fall Festival, on Saturday, October 6, 2007.

A number of MNPS members were present, and some brought native plants for the garden.

After a brief introduction given by Marianne Pettis from the Howard County Conservancy, current MNPS board member and past president, Carole Bergmann, gave the dedication speech.
