Western Mountains Chapter Field Trip

Field Trip Leader: Joe Metzger, Western Mountains Chapter of MNPS

An easy two-part walk along the canal towpath looking for early spring flowers in Allegany County. Anyone can join one or both halves of the walk. 

10:00 am: We will walk downstream and continue for about an hour and a half, then we'll turn around and walk back to the parking lot. 

12:30: Lunch

1:00 pm: We will walk upstream for about an hour and a half.

3:30 pm approximate time we'll be back at the parking lot.

If you are going on both halves of the walk, bring a lunch. If you are only going on the morning half, bring a lunch and stay a little longer. If you are going on the afternoon half, bring a lunch and come a little earlier.

The walk will only be cancelled in case of snow (or other frozen precipitation) or heavy rain.
