Wild Washington- 134th walk led in this longstanding series.  We will visit Tregaron in Northwest Washington DC.  Tregaron is a 20 acre historic landmark with 13 acres of woodland gardens, meadows, streams, trails and a restored lily pond.  It is located adjacent to Rock Creek Park.

Leader:  Mary Pat Rowan and David Culp

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED

FREE

Notes: Easy to moderate walk.

Bring:  Lunch and water. Wear good shoes and long pants because of poison ivy and greenbriar.

Cancellation Policy: Cancelled if raining. Call Mary Pat before 9 am on Sunday if you have concerns about whether the trip is cancelled due to weather.

Contact: (for additional information; not to register) Mary Pat Rowan, blair-rowan@starpower.net, 202 526 8821.

Directions: Meet at the Klingle Road entrance.
From Wisconsin Avenue, turn east onto Woodley Road (passing the Cathedral itself).  At the stoplight at Woodley and 34th, stay on Woodley Road; proceed straight for three more blocks until Woodley starts to curve right.  Take a slight left onto Klingle Road.  The fence gate entrance to Tregaron will be down the block on Klingle on your left.  If you are driving, it is not too difficult to find parking along these streets. There is a large sign at the Tregaron entrance, but no address.
