This park on South Mountain near the Appalachian Trail gets heavy traffic of summer visitors to its 42-acre stream-fed lake and beach. However, there are many native species to ID and record in the woodland areas near the lake. Of note is the variety of ferns that flourish in the shaded, moist habitat.
