Description: Join us in the beautiful Catoctin Mountains of Frederick County to see the property of Kai Hagen, adjacent to Thorpewood Mountain Retreat. With many types of habitats--well-drained slopes, seeps and wetlands, streams, meadows and a beaver pond--the area has a splendid variety of species in both forest and marginal ecosystems. If we are blessed with recent rain, the diversity of mushrooms is unmatched, so bring your fungal field guides!
Leaders: Marney Bruce and Bethany Dellagnello
FREE, BUT ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 15 participants. Registration limited to MNPS members only through September 9.

Bring: Field guides, walking stick, water, snack, binoculars if you like, sun or rain protection.
Cancellation Policy: We will go in drizzle or light rain, but the trip will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or storms.
