Sponsoring Organization: Maryland Native Plant Society

Join us for a three mile loop hike along either the Billy Goat B or Billy Goat C trails in search of the very first springtime flowers:  Dutchman's breeches, bloodroot, trout lily, early saxifrage, and maybe more.

Leaders: Elizabeth Miller and Marney Bruce

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 10.

Registration limited to members only.

Notes:  This will be a hike, not a meander. We won't be stopping to look at every single green thing; rather, we'll walk at a moderate pace in search of flowers. The loop will be about 3 miles long. Parts of it involve some tricky footing and minor rock scrambling. We hope to cover it in about 3 hours, depending on how much is blooming (and there might not be that much this early in the season). The leader will contact you with the exact start location a day or two in advance.

Bring: Good footwear and layers of clothing, guidebooks, camera, water and snacks.  A walking stick or hiking poles if you use them.

Cancellation Policy:  We will cancel if it is raining more than a light drizzle. Contact leader if in doubt about the weather.  Phone number will be provided to registered participants.

Contact: (for additional information; not to register)  Elizabeth Miller, berry@IdRatherNotSay.com.

Directions: Will be included in registration confirmation. The leader will contact you a day or two in advance with exact start location.
