Fish Grow On Trees-Wildlife Considerations for Streamside Forest Buffer Plantings (Carroll County)

The Carroll County Forestry Board will be hosting an upcoming spring workshop titled, "Fish Grow On Trees." The workshop highlights the importance streamside forest restoration has on wildlife habitat.  A panel of speakers that will touch on brook trout restoration, the rare and endangered bog turtle, as well as a summary report on the findings from a long-term study that documented biotic/abiotic response to streams reforested about 15 years ago. There will also be presentations by the Bay-Wise Master Gardeners program and Carroll County Forestry Board volunteer Weed Warriors.

The workshop will be held at Bear Branch Nature Center, 300 John Owings Road, Westminster, MD 21158.
