Saturday, October 19, 2019, 10 AM-12 noon

Description:  Get off the beaten path and get to know the trees and plants growing along the DC area's "forgotten river". Many large native trees grow in this floodplain forest, mingling with some pretty gnarly invasive plants. We will ID and discuss both, but focus on the trees and natives.

Leaders:  Marney Bruce and Gabe Popkin

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 10 people. Registration limited to MNPS members only.

Bring: Binoculars, ID books, water, snacks.

Cancellation Policy:  Walk will go in light rain but will be postponed in case of downpour.

Contact: (for information, not to register):  Marney Bruce, marneyb@earthlink.net

Notes:  The walk will be very easy, entirely along flat paved paths.

Directions: included in registration confirmation.
