Sponsoring Organization: Maryland Native Plant Society
We will walk along the edge of a meadow, into the woods and downhill towards the Hawlings River, then back up again. We will focus on winter trees and shrubs, but we will also see skunk cabbage and several other native herbaceous plants that are green in winter.
Leaders: Anne DeNovo and Marney Bruce
MNPS membership not required.
Bring: Binoculars, field guides, camera if you like. Walking poles if you use them. Good boots or shoes and dress for winter weather.
Notes: We will walk about 1.5-2 miles on natural surface trails that will probably be muddy. Some uphill and downhill walking.
Cancellation Policy: We will cancel in the event of rain, ice or snow. If in doubt about the weather, contact the leader, Anne DeNovo, email@example.com.
