168th walk in the Wild Washington series

For our first walk in 2020, we will return to Fort DuPont and go on an excursion to test our skills at identifying trees and plants in winter. Fort DuPont is the second largest park in Washington DC.

REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED - FREE 

Bring: Dress warmly. Bring water and lunch or a snack. 

Notes: Easy to moderate walk. 

Cancellation Policy: Trip will be canceled if raining or snowing. Call Claudine if the weather is uncertain and you are concerned about cancellation.

Directions: We will meet in the parking lot of the Fort DuPont Activity Center off Randall Circle. Randall Circle is on Minnesota Avenue SE at Massachusetts Avenue SE. Access via East Capitol Street and go south on Minnesota Avenue SE to Randall Circle which is at Massachusetts Avenue SE. Or, take I-295 from the Beltway north to Pennsylvania Avenue SE and turn north on Minnesota Avenue. Travel north until you get to Massachusetts Avenue SE which is Randall Circle. Go around the circle and into the park at the sign and you will see the parking lot on your left.
