The Cylburn Arboretum Association, the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks, and the Maryland Native Plant Society join hands to present the award winning film, Green Fire, at Cylburn Arboretum's Vollmer Center.   The first full-length documentary film ever made about legendary environmentalist Aldo Leopold, Green Fire highlights Leopold’s extraordinary career, tracing how he shaped inspiring projects all over the country that connect people and land.  Tours of the Vollmer Center, which was built to LEED standards, will be offered before the film, pointing out the building’s green composting toilets, green roof, geothermal heating and air conditioning, and recycled siding.   A panel discussion will follow the film.

Panelists: Miram Avins (Baltimore Green Space)              Keith Bowers (Biohabitats)                                     Rona Kobell (Chesapeake Bay Journal)                       Sue Patz (Baltimore City Environmental Education            Coordinator) moderator                                         Marla McIntosh (University of Maryland)                         Tim Wheeler (Baltimore Sun)
