Native plants are more suited for our area, and therefore require less care and watering. Many once established require little maintenance and provide great habitat and food for wildlife. Come join the fun for:

  • Native plants for your garden (cash only please!)
  • Live animal and educational displays
  • Gardening workshops and advice
  • Pony rides
  • Nature walks
  • Help choosing the best native plants for your yard
  • Kilby Cream fresh ice cream
  • Carnivorous plants
  • Refreshments and more!

Location: New Beginnings - The Woodlawn Wildlife Area consists of a former landfill and an adjacent natural area. This project is part of an ongoing effort to transform the land into a thriving wildlife area and to establish a unique natural resource in Cecil County, Maryland. The entrance is located on Firetower Rd. near the intersection of Firetower Rd and Waible Rd.
