Next in our series of (so far) over 100 field trips in the Fort Circle Parks of Washington, DC: We will visit the Fort Circle Connector between Forts Dupont and Stanton to investigate the geology and plants of the Terrace Gravel.

Directions: Get on Pennsylvania Avenue SE and travel south east from Minnesota Avenue east of the Anacostia River.  When you get to Branch Avenue (a lighted intersection) turn right on Branch and take the first right on Park Drive.  We will meet where 32nd Place meets Park Drive.

Bring: Snack, water. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

The trip will be cancelled in the event of rain, but will not be cancelled if there is light snow. Call Mary Pat before 9 in the morning if in doubt.
