Spring Plant Blitz: Cheverly Nature Park Field Trip (Friday)

Registration through May 15, 2024 for members only.  Registration will close on May 30, 2024.

Location: Cheverly,  MD. Directions will be provided in registration confirmation email. 

Join us on a hike through a wonderful forest filled with loblolly pines, mountain laurel and blueberries.  The park is surrounded by homes and is an example of how invasives escape from landscaped spaces, with the perimeter of the park showing invasive damage and infiltration while the center is in near pristine condition.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 12 people.

Notes: Approx 1 mile loop.  Easy to moderate difficulty.

Bring:  water, sunscreen and tick repellent.  Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Cancellation Policy: Trip will proceed in light rain.  It will be canceled in the event of heavy storms or thunder/lightning.
