We will see a beautiful diverse meadow in full bloom.You can see the iNaturalist observations for the plant survey, as well as an ongoing butterfly survey and other observations from the public, by searching for the Place in iNaturalist called "Lower Meadow in Cabin John Regional Park at Locust Grove Nature Center, MD, US"."https://www.inaturalist.org/places/lower-meadow-in-cabin-john-regional-park-at-locust-grove-nature-center".

There are bathroom facilities at Locust Grove Nature Center. The nature center will be open from 12 noon to 4 PM.
There is a five minute walk on a steep natural surface trail from the nature center to the meadow. Once in the meadow area, there are wide flat mowed paths.
Anne DeNovo is a Master Naturalist. For several years she has been helping to conduct a plant survey and inventory of the meadows at Locust Grove Nature Center.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 12 people. Directions will be included in registration confirmation. Nonmembers can register starting 8/16
Bring Water, sunscreen, tick repellant. Wear hat, sun protection, and tick protection.
